Sr. Product Manager

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for developing, planning and managing features within growing and mature products. Lead both the technology as well as the business change required, while ensuring that day-to-day issues are corrected promptly and thoroughly. Consult with product sponsors, participants, stakeholders and customers to review product proposals including goals, time frames, and funding limitations. Ensure that product goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. Develop and manage product budgets. Responsible for coordinating with non-organic technical squads across multiple time zones in the design and technology organizations as well as third-party vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all aspects of the strategy and performance of assigned products. Act as a single point of contact for assigned products.

Coordinate all activities with, and report regularly to organizational leadership.

Coordinate with teams of individuals from both the business side and technology, as well as outside vendors.

Define resources needed to accomplish product goals and develop a strategy to acquire them

Use appropriate product management tools, processes, and procedures.

Manage the product budget, putting in place financial disciplines and ensuring their execution to meet or beat budget.

Manage the overall vendor relationship, coordinate product improvements, and ensure their delivery. Coordinate with contracting to ensure equitable terms well prior to enhancements or renewals.

Responsible for coordinating delivery of all technology components (applications, interfaces, data center and network).

Responsible for developing and managing reporting requirements for organization and field leadership.

Use outstanding influence leadership skills, work closely with other product leaders to ensure all technology is delivered on time and according to acceptance criteria.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience.

Five (5) years of relevant experience

IT, business, and/or consulting experience

Product management experience to include experience leading large client-facing products that involve significant business and technology change.

Experience leading teams in a matrix management environment with demonstrated record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Ability to be an effective leader in a fast-paced cyclical environment.

Knowledge of business case development including OKRs, cost/benefit analysis, and current and future state assessment.

Strong presentation (written and oral) skills necessary to communicate and persuade a wide range of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA

Experience developing and negotiating partnerships with external vendor/suppliers.

Tax or financial background

Advanced supervisory skills with the ability to oversee tasks delegated to subordinates.

Experience in Big 5/6 consulting environment

Familiarity with compliance (regulatory, SOX, etc.) and governance issues.

What you'll bring to the team .Education:

  • Superior supervisory and matrix management skills; demonstrated ability to oversee tasks delegated to others.
  • Product management experience to include experience leading large mission critical products that involve significant business and technology change.
